LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

Job Description

The Villa at Westhampton is the premier assisted living community in Westhampton and the only assisted living community in the Hamptons. We are looking for experienced and caring LPN’s to help guide and assist our residents throughout their day.

LPN Responsibilities

•Assist in coordinating the management of residents’ health care needs with the primary physician and act as the liaison with other health care providers and with family members.

•Practice clinical nursing skills as allowed by DOH regulations.

•Maintain clinical expertise through continuing education.

•Supervise the storage, distribution, and discontinuation of residents’ medication.

•Maintain accurate resident records, maintain confidentiality of these files.

•Ensure continued compliance with the policies and procedures of the community as outlined in the Resident Care Policy and Procedure Manual.

•Assist in the administrative duties of the Resident Services Department.

•Meet customer service standards in a friendly, helpful, courteous manner with resident satisfaction a priority.

•Perform case management tasks in accordance with DOH regulations.

•Assist the Director of Clinical Services in assessing the physical and personal care needs of applicants for admission.

•Assist in assessing residents’ needs quarterly and/or at a time of change in condition.

Provide medication administration services to residents.

•Assess ongoing physical and personal care needs of residents. Communicate changes to Director of Clinical Services.

LPN Requirements

•High School diploma or equivalent

•Current LPN Licensure
